American Brown-Forman, producer of whiskey Jack Daniel's and bourbon Woodford Reserve, has increased its quarterly dividends by 4%, to 22.65 cents per share of class "A" and "B". As stated in the company's press release, the dividends will be paid on January 2nd to shareholders registered on December 6th. The dividend yield for these shares is around 2.2%, based on their closing price on Thursday ($40.15 for class "A" and $40.69 for class "B"). Brown-Forman is considered a dividend aristocrat, with its stock included in the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats index. The company has raised its dividends for 41 consecutive years. Shares of Brown-Forman rose by 1% on Thursday's trading session.
